Show Details Shared Note: - p. 40 " INDENT. 19 April 1749 between Thomas Ballard Smith and David Mills, Gent., Churchwardens of Fredricksville Parish, Lousia County, and Samuel Brockman of St. Thomas's Parish, Orange County, Cooper. By order of Lousia Court do bind John Haton a poor boy and with the consent of his mother Mary Haton which boy was seven years old the 8th day of May last until age twenty one years. Brockman shall teach said John the Coopers trade and give him such schooling as the Law directs and provide wholesome lodging, clothing and diet and at the expiration of his servitude goods as the law directs for freedom dues to Imported Servants.
